Jesus returned to Heaven, but his life giving spirit is among us today. His message is called the gospel, or good news, because it's wonderful news to every imperfect person which by the way is all of us. Jesus' revolution continues to take the gospel new places. Jesus had an extraordinary intellect and personality, and made a deep and lasting impression on the people he met.
Jesus, as we know, was the son of Mary, a young woman who became pregnant before her marriage to a man named Joseph. He is the spotless, sinless son of God. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will. Countless lives have been touched by the many charities founded in dedication to him and his teachings, such as world vision, compassion multitudes bear witness of his power to heal broken hearts, lives and bodies.
Jesus is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua which was originally Hoshea Oshea Num. An angel told Joseph his foster-father; you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. Some have claimed that during this period that he went to India and learned from Hindu Gurus.
All who believe in Jesus are guaranteed eternal life with Him in heaven. The Bible also describes his rising from the grave three days after his death. Our knowledge of Jesus and his life comes from the Bible.
